Hello! Hello!. Hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying the beautiful weather! I cannot wait until Texas has some cooler weather consistently (but that might never happen).
So I wanted to show you guys how I redid my bedroom and where everything came from. I figured it would be easier to have it all in one location and give you some details about each item. The process took a little longer than I thought (thanks to my husband), but it is now completed and was not out of budget (thanks to my husband lol).
Here are some before pictures to show you what we were dealing with. Most of the furniture was hand-me-downs from our parents so it was FREE. And of course we took it because it was all we had with no real cashflow at the time.

It's so crazy how far we've come and we can actually say that we own our furniture!
Now onto what it looks like now! One of my favorite features in our bedroom is the bench at the foot of the bed and the faux fiddle leaf tree in the corner.

Of course it took us about 3-4 months to buy all of these new items for our room. We are all about sticking with our budget and focusing on our main goal which is to pay off our loans. Living a comfortable life for the sake of impatience is not something we want to do and that means we have to make sacrifices in other areas of our lives. For example, we did not eat out for the month of August to pay for a trip and buy furniture! Honestly it wasn't as hard as we had expected and we could definitely do it again another month. I think it's important to set all kinds of goals for yourself and financial goals are included. It doesn't mean that you are going to always see a big payout, but it does teach you lessons that you actually don't NEED the things you say you do. Okay now some furniture pics and links!

The bedspread is from Kohl's and I have the white color. It is a quilt which works perfect if you get hot at night! The grey pillows are UGG and from Bed Bath & Beyond. The tassel pillows on the bench and the bed are from Target from the Hearth and Hand collection. My painting is from Target, but unfortunately cannot be found online. They have similar paintings to this one at some Home Goods locations that I go to.

My mirror is from Kirklands a LONG time ago, but here is a similar version from Target! Our clothes hamper was a gift from Target for our wedding. I absolutely love this hamper because it is sturdy and I was getting tired of the cloth hampers that slouched over. It has a liner on the inside that you can throw in the wash as well. My bedframe is from Walmart and one of our first things to put together when we go this apartment. It is super simple and gives a good contrast to the white bedspread.

The bench is from Target and we LOVE it. Its has storage inside for our blankets and comes in different colors too. This piece is my absolute favorite and just makes the room feel complete. It took us awhile to find a bench that we liked and that would still fit our needs and when this came back into stock we jumped on it!

Our nightstand is from IKEA and comes with an insert that you can put loose change or small items in. The lamps are from Target and were a gift from one of our close friends. Love this lamp because it is still tall and fills the space up without taking over our entire nightstand.

Our dresser is from IKEA and the drawers are so deep I love them. They fit both mine and Trenton's clothes with plenty of room to stack them inside. It is a medium-brown color with dark grey, metal knobs. The standing lamp was a gift from our wedding and it came from Target. The color is a light grey and is a perfect height for the dresser.

This mirror is also from IKEA and came with a detachable piece that was on the top plus room to hang clothes on the back if needed. I love that is is super simple and doesn't take up a lot of room.

The tree that I'm OBSESSED with is from Amazon. It is 6ft and comes with detachable leaves so you can make it however you like. This branches on this tree are scuffed up and the leaves are life-like which is why I love it so much! The planter is another find from IKEA and it matches our room perfectly.
I'm so happy to be done with redoing our bedroom and I love the way it turned out! If you enjoyed reading this then give it a like or let me know
